Al-Halqi hopes to expand development relations with Iran

DAMASCUS (ST)-Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi has asserted the deeply rooted relations between Syria and Iran and the role played by it in promoting economic and trade relations.

During the meeting held with Iranian Ambassador to Syria Mohammad Rida Shibani, al-Halqi underlined the importance of expanding economic, trade and development between the two countries through easing measures, eradicating administrative bureaucracy, reactivating the signed agreements and signing new ones.

The talks also dealt with means of enhancing cooperation in the field oil, medicine, finance, banking, food supplies  and consumption.

Al-Halqi thanked the Iranian government and people for their firm stances towards the Syrian leadership and people in the face of the conspiracy targeting them and in enhancing steadfastness of the Syrian people.

The Premier outlined victories of our brave army achieved in eliminating the armed terrorists groups, referring that the government seeks to consolidate the culture of dialogue, tolerance and abandoning violence for launching the comprehensive national dialogue conference.

“The government also works to ensure citizens’ daily life needs and to support potentials of the national economy which is still strong and able to confront challenges as a step to realize a financial and economic stability in the Syrian market”, al-Haqi added.

From his part, the Ambassador Shibani expressed his country’s support to Syria, voicing his trust in the two countries’ capability as regards confronting the challenges, defeating aggression forces and foiling US-Zionist schemes in the region.
