Deir Ezzor – Army units regained control over new wide areas in Deir Ezzor Badiya after eliminating the remnants of Daesh (ISIS) terrorists who have infiltrated into these areas over the past period, SANA reported.
A military source said that army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, on Sunday implemented a concentrated operation on ISIS dens, regaining control over an area of 1800 square kilometers and reaching the Iraqi borders at the point /400/ to the west of al-Boukamal .
The source added that a large number of ISIS terrorists were killed in the army’s operations, in addition to destroying their military equipment.
