Army Command vows to expel terrorists from Damascus countryside

DAMASCUS,(ST)_General Command of Army and Armed Forces has underscored commitment to continuing its noble mission related to haunting down al-Nusra Front-linked terrorists and criminals and what it is called NATO mercenaries.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the command said: “Yesterday, units of armed forces in cooperation with honest residents carried out a qualitative operation in east al-Ghota area in Damascus countryside ended in encircling the area.”

It noted that the operation followed successes realized by the armed forces in Daraya suburb, to the south-west of the capital.

The General Command, which is keen on announcing the Syrian Arab Army’ achievements on the ground,  vowed to go ahead with doing its duty to expel the remained terrorists from all areas in Damascus countryside in order to restore stability and security to the country.

It thanked honest citizens for their cooperation with the armed forces and called on misled ones to lay down their weapons as this will help halt bloodshed.
