Grand Mufti: Syria Steadfastly Faced Terrorism, Misleading Media

 DAMASCUS, (ST)- Syria’s Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun has stressed that Syria is the cradle of civilization and heavenly religions and will continue to be an example of fraternity and tolerance given its diversity and heritage.

During a meeting on Saturday with an Italian delegation comprising several members of the European front for Defending Syria and the Syrian community, the Mufti said that thanks to the steadfastness of the Syrians and the heroism of their army and the wisdom of their leadership, Syria has triumphed over terrorism despite the global terrorist war and disinformation campaign that targeted the country.

 On their part, members of the delegation highly appreciated the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the confrontation of the crisis caused by years of terrorist war on the country. They said that the Syrians has proved to the entire world that they were all united against terrorism.

They affirmed that they will convey to the public opinion in Italy the real image about the suffering of the Syrian people because of terrorism.
