Army enhances its points in al-Hajar al-Aswad, southern Damascus

Damascus Countryside – Units of Syrian Arab Army advanced in the depth of al-Hajar al-Aswad area amid collapse among terrorists.

SANA said that army units enhanced their points in the area extending from the east of al-Hajar al-Aswad to the west after clearing it of IEDs and mines.

SANA added that the southern part of al-Hajar al-Aswad area has become separated from other areas of terrorists’ spreading in northern Yarmouk Camp.

Intensive strikes were directed by the Syrian Air Force and the army’s artillery on terrorists’ supply routes and movements, inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists’ ranks and equipment.

A field commander told SANA that army has restored control over a number of building blocks in al-Hajar al-Aswad area and that the army units reached at the governmental compound after killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their fortified points and defense lines.

 

The military operations are underway towards the northern part of al-Hajar al-Aswad to clear it from terrorists until the liberation of the rest of al-Yarmouk Camp, the commander said.

Amounts of weapons, including a number of machineguns, PKC machine guns, drone bombs, gas masks, rocket launchers, night binoculars, bombs and amount of C4 material were found during the operation.
