Zakharova: Alleged chemical attack in Douma is serious media provocation

Moscow – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova affirmed that there are new compelling proofs that the alleged chemical attack in the city of Douma is nothing but a play and a serious media provocation, SANA reported.

In a press conference on Thursday, Zakharova said that there is increasing new proofs “floating on the surface gradually” proving that no chemical attack had occurred in Douma city.

She added that European-made gas bombs were found in Eastern Ghouta and another chemical laboratory of terrorists in Douma.

“Our assumptions have been confirmed, the actual goal of the three Western countries involved in the tripartite aggression against Syria was to let the extremists catch their breath, restore their ranks and prolong the bloodshed on Syrian soil, thus hindering the political settlement process,” she pointed out.

Zakharova said that the situation in Eastern Ghouta in Damascus Countryside is still stable despite the tripartite aggression, adding that the return of life to normal continues as more terrorists continue to be evacuated from al-Ghouta.
