Foreign Ministry Presents 9th Quarterly Report on JCPOA to Majlis

Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Wednesday announced that the ministry presented the ninth quarterly report on the JCPOA to Majlis (Iranian Parliament).

The JCPOA stands for the official name of the 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and six world powers, under which Iran got sanctions relief in return for curbs on its nuclear program.

The report pointed to International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) tenth report verifying Iran’s full adherence to its nuclear commitments, continuation of nuclear activities within the framework of Strategy Number 6 and clarifying that over the past three months, Iran’s all nuclear activities, especially in the field of research and development, have gone ahead of the agency’s schedule, Qasemi said.

The report also mentioned that some 83 nuclear projects were inaugurated in April 9, he said.

Condemning US’ bad promises, the quarterly report explained the US violations of the JCPOA, its increased efforts to undermine the deal over the past three months and setting deadline for the European states to fix the alleged flaws of the deal as well as destructive impacts of the US government’s moves on Iran’s benefits from the deal.

The report has also dealt with Foreign Ministry’s measures in the face of the US anti-JCPOA actions and pursuing Iran’s demands using all within its power including joint commission and setting up a working group for removing sanctions, diplomatic capacities and mutual talks.
