Al-Moallem Starts Official Visit to Oman

MUSCAT, (ST)- Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid Moallem arrived in the Omani Capital Muscat in an official visit to Oman at the invitation of his Omani counterpart Yousef Bin Alawi.

Al-Moallem is due to hold talks with senior Omani officials on regional and international developments, ways of enhancing bilateral ties between Syria and Oman and issues of common interest.

On the sidelines of the visit, al-Moallem will open the new headquarter of the Syrian Embassy in Muscat.

 Al-Moallem is accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal al-Mikdad.

The top Syrian diplomat visited Oman in August 2015. Later in October, 2015, the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs Yousef Bin Alawai visited Syria.
