Syrian Army Secures 4500 Civilians from Eastern Ghouta via al-Wafedeen Camp Safe Corridor

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE – Army units on Friday secured the evacuation of thousands of civilians besieged by the terrorist organizations in the northern part of Eastern Ghouta through the safe corridor at al-Wafideen Camp, according to SANA.

SANA correspondent said that army units, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), secured the exit of 4500 civilians from the northern part of Eastern Ghouta, adding that all the basic needs of evacuees were immediately met before being transported to the makeshift centers.

After arriving to al-Fayhaa Hall, the SARC and Damascus Countryside governorate distributed aid to the evacuated persons and the heath teams provided medical services to them, especially for those suffering from malnutrition and diseases resulting from the trafficking of medicines and food by terrorist groups.

On Thursday, more than 6000 civilians were evacuated from Ghouta.

Over the past few days, thousands of civilians held by terrorist organizations have crossed the safe corridors of Jisreen, Hamouria and the Water Resources. Most of them have been accommodated in the makeshift centers in al-Duwair, Najha, al-Nashabia and al-Harjila equipped with all basic necessities, while the rest left to join their relatives in Damascus and other Syrian provinces.
