Army Liberates 13 Abductees Held by Terrorists in Harasta

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- Units of the Syrian Arab Army on Thursday liberated 13 abductees who were held inside the city of Harasta near Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside.

According to SANA reporter, the abductees were taken to the hospital to check their health condition and get necessary medical treatment.

The reporter said that 30 buses, carrying 1580 persons, including 619 men of whom 413 were militants in addition to 385 women and 576 children, left Harasta city to Idleb.

Earlier, a number of vehicles and buses have entered the city of Harasta under the supervision of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) to transport the first batch of the militants and their families, the reporter said, adding that 16 buses carrying 1288 persons, including 357 men, 270 women, 418 children and 243 militants assembled in preparation for the evacuation to Idleb.

A two-phase agreement was reached on the evacuation of 1500 gunmen along with 6000 members of their families to Idleb in preparation for the return of the state institutions to the city and the entry of concerned government parties to rehabilitate the area and fix the damage caused by the terrorist attacks.
