Al Bashak Establishment to Hold the 4th Session of the Syria Reconstruction Exhibition

Damascus, (ST) – Al Bashak Establishment for Trading and Exhibitions announced the start of its promotional campaign for the Syria Reconstruction Exhibition in its fourth year in 2018 during a ceremony held on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of its establishment at the Orient Hotel in Damascus.

Director General of Al-Bashak Establishment Tamer Yaghi said in a speech during the ceremony that the fourth session of the Syria Reconstruction Exhibition requires the rapid launch of reconstruction.

 Mr. Yaghi said that the exhibition will be held on the land of the fairs city with the participation of many institutions and companies specialized in building in all its fields including energy, health, agriculture, telecommunications, tourism, environment, industry, insurance, investment and banking services.”

He explained that the Establishment has signed cooperation agreements with agents in Italy, Armenia, Brazil, Jordan, Sudan and other countries to participate in the exhibition. Two large halls were reserved for Iran and Russia, pointing out that the exhibition aims to highlight the role of the public and private sectors in reconstruction and the possibility of achieving their partnership in the interest of the homeland.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Samer Khalil, Head of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Imad Sabouni, Assistant Minister of Public Works and Housing Mohammad Seifed-Din, a number of accredited diplomats in Damascus, the Head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce and the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its representatives.

The first exhibition of the reconstruction exhibition was held on 16 September 2015 with the participation of 65 local and Arab companies. The second session of the exhibition was held on September 7, 2016, with the participation of 122 companies from 11 countries. The third session was held in the 19th of 2017 with the participation of 164 companies from 23 Arab and foreign countries.
