Sheikh Omari: Terrorists in Yarmouk Camp Have Only Two Options, Either to Die or Surrender

Head of National Reconciliation Committee in Yarmouk camp and southern area in Damascus city, Sheikh Mohammad al-Omari expects a state of confusion among the armed terrorist groups in the south of the city when the Syrian army makes advances in the forthcoming Eastern Ghouta battle.

In a statement to the Syriatimes e-newspaper, Sheikh Omari said that the armed groups in Yarmouk camp for Palestinian refugees and the nearby areas have to realize that they have only two options: either to die or surrender.

“The armed groups in southern area have to make their decision as soon as possible because military decisiveness is inevitable,” he added, pointing out that the ISIS and al-Nusra Front terrorists in Yarmouk camp accuse the gunmen who want to make a reconciliation deal of apostasy and infidelity.

Sheikh Omari, who also occupies the position of Palestinian Popular Forum’s Secretary, made it clear that al-Nusra Front terrorists in Yarmouk camp will be either killed at the hands of ISIS terrorists, who gave them a three-day deadline to surrender themselves to them, or will surrender themselves to Palestinian resistance forces and Syrian army at the gate of the camp.

“ISIS terrorists are seeking to control further areas in Yarmouk camp in preparation for a possible attack on Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahem areas to loot the homes. They are brainwashed and they are convinced that Jihad in Syria is a holy act,” he stressed.

Sheikh Omari, who is a representative of the Ministry of Reconciliation affairs in the southern area of Damascus, indicated that there is a truce in Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahem areas.

“We are seeking to reach reconciliation deals in the southern area of Damascus similar to the ones reached in Qudsaya, Hameh and Moadameyeh areas for the return of displaced people to their homes. We draw up initiatives since the start of the crisis in Syria but the leaders of the armed groups prevented their elements from settling their status and accused them of infidelity,” he concluded.

On April 1, 2015, hundreds of terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [Its Arabic acronym is Daesh] entered the camp of Yarmouk in collusion with terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front to abort a local reconciliation deal that was due to be signed few days later.

Syrian army units have surrounded the camp since the armed terrorist organizations captured it in 2013.
