Syrian Products Number One in Our Markets: Arab Visitors Say

Damascus, (ST) – The Syrian manufacturing exhibition for clothing, textiles and supplies of production, and leather “Made in Syria” witnessed a remarkable presence of a large number of businessmen, industrialists and importers driven by their desire and confidence in the Syrian producer to re-present in their markets Syrian products that have long been ranked among the products of other countries over decades In terms of quality and price. The visitors represent 14 countries including Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan and other countries.

 Some 800 visitors came to visit the Syrian textile products and fabrics. They took advantage of their four-day stay to sign export contracts and register their orders with Syrian industrialists. Their countries in coordination with the Syrian Exporters’ Federation and Damascus Chamber of Industry and its organizers organized the exhibition in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade.

The head of the Iraqi delegation Saad Noman Saleh, a textile and clothing dealer in Baghdad, said in his statement to the local press that the Syrian product ” imposes itself with its high quality and its appropriate price,” noting that the number of members of the delegation reached about 470 traders and suppliers  who have confidence in Syrian products that occupy a large area in the Iraqi market for a long time.

Syrian exports have achieved a remarkable presence in the Iraqi market in addition to the direct sale of Syrian products in the exhibition, which was held recently in Baghdad and achieved a great success exceeded expectations. Mr. Saleh said.

“Syrian products are number one in the Middle East, we come to Syria for the acquisition of Syrian products and we signed several contracts and deals with traders”, the merchant Ali al-Shaibani from Libya said.

Members of the Sudanese delegation expressed their happiness for their presence in several exhibitions in Syria since last year, which indicates the revitalization of the movement of exhibitions and exports, considering that this event represents an important opportunity for them to meet with their Syrian counterparts in the textile sector to make deals with them.
