Syria and Iran to Work Hand in Hand to Rebuild Syria: Iranian Ambassador

HOMS, (ST)- Iranian Ambassador to Syria Javad Torkabadi has stressed that the coming era in Syria is that of reconstruction in which Syria and Iran will work hand in hand to rebuild the country in accordance with a united vision.

Torkabadi made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday with Governor of Homs Talal Barazi. The two sides discussed methods of boosting cooperation between the two countries.

 Barazi briefed the Iranian diplomat on the situation in Homs after the destruction caused to the province’s infrastructure as well as its private and public properties because of terrorism. He also talked about the rehabilitation of the city’s old markets and about the studies being made to create proper circumstances for reconstruction.

Torkabadi, said his visit to Homs aimed at enhancing cooperation to further boost bilateral relations between Syria and Iran in all domains, pointing out that he clearly noticed normal life in the province and felt how deep the people of Homs love their city. 

He hailed the great victories achieved by the Syrian Arab army and its allied and supporting forces against terrorism; victories that led to restoring security and stability in most Syrian areas.
