Al-Attar: Projects of “For Aleppo” Exhibition Should Be Put to Use in Reconstruction Phase

Damascus – “For Aleppo” exhibition kicked off on Monday at Faculty of Architecture Engineering of Damascus University. It was inaugurated by Vice President Najah al-Attar.

According to SANA, the exhibition includes 300 projects dealing with the ancient buildings and the historical sites of the Old City of Aleppo, and the damages they sustained at the hands of terrorist organizations.

 The exhibition aims to develop a clear vision for the future of the Old City of Aleppo based on the scientific principles of conservation and the structural restoration of historical buildings.

Al-Attar affirmed in her opening speech the need for presenting those projects to the relevant government bodies to benefit from them in the reconstruction phase.

Aleppo is known as the city of science and intellect and is one of the oldest cities in history, the Vice President said, condemning the crimes committed by terrorist organizations against its monuments. She also saluted the resilience

of Aleppo and its citizens in the face of terrorism.
