Enhancing cooperation between Syrian and Russian civil society associations discussed

Damascus – Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Rima al-Qadiri discussed with a delegation from the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian-Russian Society enhancing cooperation between the Syrian and Russian civil society associations, SANA reported.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Society Oleg Fomin talked about the historical and deep-rooted relations binding Russia and Syria.

Fomin indicated that the provisions of the memo of understanding, signed this year to regulate the work of the Society in Syria, includes providing aid to the Syrian people and establishing a mobile hospital and a prefabricated school in Qudsaya city over the next three months.

For his part, Representative of the Society in Damascus Matanius Bashour said that the memo of understanding aims at strengthening relations between the Russian and Syrian peoples and helping the Society to communicate with the Syrian administrations and ministries.
