Syrian Arab Republic Delegation, De Mistura Held a Third Meeting within Geneva Intra-Syrian Talks

 GENEVA, (ST)- Within the framework of the second part of the 8th Round of Intra-Syrian Dialogue in Geneva, the Syrian Arab Republic delegation, led by Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari, held a third meeting with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura at the UN Headquarters.

 The two sides also held two other meetings yesterday and the day before.

The first part of the 8th round of the talks concluded on December 1st.

In a press conference following the first part of the talks, al-Jaafari said “there are some parties who seek undermining Geneva talks through imposing preconditions”, pointing out that the Riyadh II statement issued by the Saudi-backed opposition is categorically rejected as it has aimed at hampering the success of Geneva intra-Syrian dialogue.
