Gonzalez: Cuba Stands by Syria and Supports Its Fight against the Menace of Terrorism

HAVANA- Secretary General of the Young Communist League (UJC) of Cuba, Sucely Morfa Gonzalez, stressed that the UJC and its affiliated organizations supports Syria and its struggle against terrorism.

The Cuban people value the resilience of Syria’s people and leadership in their war against terrorism, Gonzales, who is also a Council of State member, said during her meeting with the Syrian Ambassador for Cuba Idris Mayya, according to SANA.

Gonzalez expressed her appreciation for the high status and the outstanding cultural level of Syrian students in Cuba.

 For his part, Ambassador Mayya emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between student organizations and unions in both countries and coordinating between their delegations participating in international events.

He also showcased on the latest military and political developments in Syria.
