Al-Mikdad Hails Syrian Expatriates Efforts in Defense of Homeland

THE HAGUE, (ST)- The Syrian state greatly appreciates the huge efforts being exerted by the Syrian expatriates in defense of their homeland and people and to convey a real image about Syria in the countries where they live, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal al-Mikdad has underscored.

He made the remarks during his meeting on Saturday with head and members of the board of the National Committee for Syrian Expatriates in the Netherlands.

Al-Mikdad explained the situation in Syria in the light of the victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army in the fight against terrorists.

 He stressed that the unity of Syria’s people and land is a principle that no one is allowed to harm and that the Syrian people who is rallying around its leadership and army will achieve victory over terrorism and will foil the schemes of the West and its tools in the region.

On their part, head and members of the Board of the National Committee for Syrian Expatriates in the Netherlands affirmed their adherence to the homeland and their commitment to work hard as to clarify the reality of events in Syria.

They said they have conveyed right information about the ongoing events in Syria plus the army’s daily victories and expressed their full readiness to support the homeland by bringing investments and participating in the reconstruction of the country.
