Russian Coordination Center reports 5 violations of de-escalation zones

Lattakia – The Hmeimim-based Russian Coordination Center said the situation in the de- escalation zones in Syria is stable despite the registration of 5 violations in the past 24 hours in Damascus and Eastern Ghouta.

In a statement on Monday, the Center said that the monitoring committees have registered 5 violations in Damascus and its Countryside during the past 24 hours, SANA reported.

The statement pointed out that the violations were random firing of conventional weapons in areas where groups of Jabhat al-Nusra and Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organizations are located.

It added that despite those violations, the situation is still stable in the de-escalation zones.

The Center stressed that during the past 24 hours two reconciliation agreements were reached as Sbaineh town and Mshairfeh village at Aleppo countryside joined the cessation of hostilities agreement in Syria, asserting that contacts with leaders of the armed groups in Aleppo, Idleb, Damascus, Hama, Homs and Quneitra provinces are continued regarding joining to the agreement.
