Army regains villages and towns in Deir Ezzor and Hama

Provinces – Syrian Arab Army units carried out military operations in the northeastern countryside of Hama province, eliminating the last terrorists’ gatherings in al-Mestariha village.

SANA said that army units, in cooperation with allies, continued their operations against gatherings and fortifications of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups affiliated to it in the northeastern countryside of Hama, restoring control over al-Mestariha village in al-Rahjan area after eliminating last terrorists’ gatherings in it.

A terrorist from Afghanistan nicknamed “Abu Mouaz” was among the terrorists killed in these operations, the reporter said, adding that engineering units dismantled the IEDs and mines planted earlier by terrorists in the village.

 

SANA also said that army units engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists during the five past days in the direction of al-Rahjan, underlining importance of regaining control of al-Mestariha which is located to the east of Abu al-Ghar village and is a transit point towards al-Rahjan.

Deir Ezzor

Army units, supported by allied forces, established control over al-Ashara city, Dablan, Sbeikhan, al-Shakma, al-Dowir, Sweidan and Mihkan in the countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Homs

Meanwhile, authorities in Tadmur eliminated a terrorist group affiliated to Daesh near al-Sikhnah in Homs eastern countryside.

SANA said the competent authorities in Tadmur foiled an infiltration attempt by the group into one of the military points near al-Sikhnah, killing them all.
