Syrian, Sudanese Economic Cooperation Discussed

Damascus,(ST) – Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Dr. Abdullah Al-Gharbi and the Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan in Damascus, Khalid Ahmed Mohamed Ali, discussed here ways to activate economic cooperation relations and trade exchange between Syria and Sudan.

The two sides discussed the possibilities of exporting the surplus of local production and the mechanisms of activating meetings between businessmen and owners of economic and industrial activities in the two brotherly countries.

 The Minister confirmed the importance of joint cooperation to find means and mechanisms that contribute to facilitate the import and export operations or through barter for some products available in both countries.

For his part, the Sudanese ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Syria and export sheep and cows and agricultural products such as sesame and peanuts in addition to facilitating the establishment of productive agricultural projects in Sudan.
