Syria, Iran to Boost Coordination, Consultation to Enhance Victories of Resistance Axis on Terrorism

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Walid al-Moallem, Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates and Ali Akbar Velayati, the Top Advisor of the Supreme leader of the Iranian Revolution for International Affairs have stressed the need to boost coordination and consultation within the coming era as to enhance the victories being achieved by the axis of resistance over terrorism and its supporters.

During a meeting on Monday, the two sides discussed the situation in Syria and the region in the light of the latest political and military developments. They also discussed means of strengthening bilateral ties.

Al-Moallem talked about developments on ground in Syria, hailing the major achievements being made by the Syrian army in cooperation with its allies and friends, and the latest of which was the liberation of Deir Ezzor city from ISIS terrorism.

 “Syria will continue its war on takfiri terrorism and its supporters until security and stability return to every inch of the Syrian territory,” said al-Moallem, highly appreciating Iran’s support for Syria.

On his part, Velayati renewed Iran’s continuous support for Syria at all levels, mainly in the fight against terrorism. He congratulated Syria on the latest victories over ISIS terrorist organization in Syria’s eastern region which constitute a victory for the axis of resistance and a defeat for the destructive Zionist-American scheme and its supporters.
