Syria Will Emerge Stronger from the War: Cuban Journalists

HAVANA, (ST)- Cuban journalists have expressed confidence that Syria will emerge victorious and stronger from the war, stressing their keenness on conveying the truth about events in Syria and on shedding light on the criminal acts of the terrorist organizations in Syria.

During their meeting with the Syrian Ambassador to Cuba Idris Mayya, the Cuban journalists and analysts hailed the legendary steadfastness and victories of the Syrian Arab Army in cooperation with its allies in their war on terrorism and condemned the crimes perpetrated by foreign-backed terrorist groups against Syria.

They reiterated the destructive role played by the media in crises, stressing that the disinformation and misleading media campaign to which Syria has been exposed have targeted Cuba for decades.

On his part, the Syrian Ambassador hailed the victories achieved by the Syrian army in the fight against terrorism, asserting that these gains have led to restoring security and stability to many areas that were held by the terrorists and paved the way for the return of thousands of citizens to their cities and villages after the Syrian government provided all necessary facilitations for this purpose.

Mayya asserted that the Syrian people who kept steadfast in the face of terrorism will be able with the help of their friends and peace-loving peoples to rebuild what the terrorists have destroyed.
