Haidar: China Has Key Role in Consolidating National Reconciliation, Reconstruction Process in Syria

DAMASCUS,(ST)-State Minister of National Reconciliation Ali Haidar has declared that China has a key role in consolidating national reconciliation and reconstruction process in Syria.

His remark was made Monday during his meeting with China’s Ambassador in Damascus Qi Qianjin.

“The clear and firm stance of China, Russia and BRICS states towards Syrian people and state institutes has helped protect international law and has supported counterterrorism track,” the minister said, referring to historic relations between Syria and china that has become an influential state in the international arena and in consolidating international balance.

 Haidar, in addition, asserted that national reconciliation is a solid base to launch reconstruction project through the return of normal life and peace to residential, industrial, commercial and agricultural areas.

 “Victories being achieved by the Syrian Arab army are the main brick and the safety valve for the success of reconciliation, which has become part of the community’s culture and a local demand,” he affirmed, indicating that objective circumstances, which are consolidated by local reconciliation deals to launch political process and national dialogue, have become suitable after the collapse of armed groups.

“The shift of aggressor regional states’ stances towards Syria is an evidence of this,” the minister said, pointing out that solution must be reached by Syrians themselves.

On his part, the Chinese Ambassador congratulated the Syrian government and people on victories being achieved by the Syrian army against terrorism.

He stressed China’s support for political track in Syria without foreign intervention, adding that his country hopes to have a bigger role in all fields in Syria. “China is ready to offer everything possible in reconstruction process, and we hope that Syria will achieve victory over terrorism as soon as possible,” the ambassador said.

He made it clear that China will immediately offer support in reconstruction process and in achieving economic development in Syria.

 “We encourage Chinese companies and institutes to take part in reconstruction process and to exert more effort in economic development and in other projects,” the diplomat concluded, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
