Al-Moallem to Russian Delegation: Syria Proceeding towards Reconstructing What Terrorism Destroyed

DAMASCUS, (ST)-Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Walid al-Moallem and a Russian government delegation comprising representatives of big Russian companies led by Deputy Minister of Energy Kiril Molodtsov discussed in a meeting on Sunday the economic and trade cooperation between Syria and Russia.

 Talks during the meeting focused  also on the Russian Federation’s participation in reconstructing what the terrorist war on Syria destroyed over the past six years in addition to preparations to hold the next meeting of the Syrian-Russian joint committee within the coming few days in Russia.

 Al-Moallem expressed Syria’s appreciation over Russia’s support for Syria in the confrontation of the terrorist aggression, stressing that Syria will continue to fight terrorism to the end.

He said that Syria is now witnessing the last chapter of this aggression and thanks to the victories of the Syrian Arab army and the support of Syria’s allies and friends, the country is steadily advancing towards reconstructing what the terrorists had destroyed.

On his part, Molodtsov said the delegation’s visit to Syria aimed at holding talks with the Syrian government on economic and commercial cooperation and at strengthening Syria’s steadfastness in the face of terrorism.

He affirmed that Russia, as a leadership, government and people, will continue to provide all forms of support and assistance to Syria and will take part in the reconstruction process in order to restore peace and stability to the country.
