China for Beginning Political Dialogue in Syria

BEIJING, (ST) -China on Tuesday called for beginning a political dialogue in the near future in Syria in order to reach a solution that satisfies all parties.

Xinhua quoted the spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hong Lei as saying in press statements that “China has always supported a political solution as the only way to solve the crisis in Syria.”

He added that all parties should abide by recommendations of Geneva statement issued by the International Work Group on Syria on June 30th, 2012.
