Shaaban: Syria Facing Zionist Colonialist Scheme Targeting Its Independent Decision

DAMASCUS,( ST)- Syria has been facing a Zionist colonialist scheme targeting its independent decision, the Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban has stressed, noting the destructive role of misleading media outlets in aggravating the crisis in the country.

Shaaban, who made the remarks on Tuesday during a session of political dialogue with Damascus Baath Party branch leadership members, said the anti-Syria media outlets have played basic role in the war on Syria through disinformation campaigns that aimed to create sedition and division among components of the Syrian society.

 She called for more awareness about the media plots made against Syria to underestimate its achievements in all domains, pointing out that “we have to direct our compass according to our deep knowledge of our enemies and their designs and with complete confidence in our people, army, allies, friends and brothers.”

Shaaban said that Syria has alliance with friendly countries with a common interest, which is defeating terrorism, that threatens the entire world, clarifying that this alliance is with a friend who believes in Syria’s sovereignty and independent decision.

She asserted that the Syrian Arab army will press ahead with the process of liberating the territories of the Syrian Arab Republic from terrorism, stressing the importance of confronting the takfiri thinking through holding dialogue and debates sessions.
