PFLP Marks Its 50th Foundation Anniversary

 DAMASCUS, (ST)-The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) held Saturday a festival in the Arab cultural center in Midan area in Damascus to mark the 50th anniversary of its foundation and to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of the PLFP’s former Secretary General Abo Ali Mustafa.

The festival included speeches delivered by Secretary of the Baath Arab Socialist Party’s Damascus branch Hosam al-Samman, the PLFP’s Deputy Secretary-General Abo Ahmad Fo’ad, member of Hezbollah’s Politburo Haj Hasan Hadraj and secretary of the Alliance of Palestinian Forces Khaled Abdulmajed.

 Al-Samman said that Palestine has been our compass in nationalist struggle and the central cause of Arab nation, referring to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Palestinian cause. 

While the Front’s deputy secretary general asserted that resistance is the only choice for Palestinians to liberate the occupied lands from occupation [Israel] and to restore legitimate rights.

On his part, Haj Hadraj affirmed that Syria’s victory over conspiracy, which aimed to fragment it and to keep it away from the axis of resistance,means the collapse of the US-Zionist plot that seeks to have hegemony over the region and to undermine the Palestinian cause.

Abdulmajed confirmed that there is national connection between the countries of the axis of resistance.
