Premier Khamis inspects Defense Factories Establishment facilities and al-Dimas pharmaceuticals factory

Damascus – Prime Minister Imad Khamis called for bringing the oxygen plant belonging to the Defense Factories Establishment back online and procuring funding to start new production lines in al-Dimas pharmaceuticals factory.

During a tour of Defense Factories Establishment facilities, Khamis inspected the production lines and equipment of the Establishment which provide products for both the Armed Forces and the local market, including furniture, uniforms, blankets, electronics, and fire extinguishers.

Khamis formed a work group to study the requirements of the oxygen plant in order for it to become economically feasible and provide the needs of local hospitals and other facilities.

The Premier also inspected al-Dimas pharmaceuticals factory’s serums, capsules, and ointments production lines, and was briefed on the factory’s work for providing antibiotics, anesthetics, and antitoxins, stressing the need to invest in the factory’s production capabilities to the maximum level, SANA reported.

He called for opening new departments and cooperating with friendly companies to produce more pharmaceutical products.
