Moscow – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov affirmed that his country continues to work on unifying efforts of all the countries to combat terrorism in the world, particularly in Syria, expressing Russia’s keenness on the non-interfere in Syria’s internal affairs because the Syrians themselves are the ones to determine the future of their country, SANA reported.

Lavrov made his remarks during a meeting with students and teachers of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations ”MGIMO” on Friday.

Lavrov considered that establishing de-escalation zones in Syria through Astana process contributes to improving the security and humanitarian situations in Syria , calling on the international organizations to increase their assistance to Syria and coordinate with the Syrian government to deliver the aid to the those who are in need.

Lavrov criticized the insistence of some countries on sending aid to Syria from the neighboring countries without the supervision of the United Nations, which constitutes an appropriate opportunity for some sides to bring in weapons, ammunition or any sort of aid to terrorists.
