Iraqi Clergy: Solving Crisis in Syria is in the Hand of the Syrians

BAGHDAd ,(ST)_Iraqi clergy  Sheikh Jawad al-Khalisi stressed that  the solution of the  crisis in Syria is in the hands of the  Syrian people .
In a meeting with  the Syrian TV on Sunday evening, al-Khalisi explained  that foreign intervention and the media incitement is foiled dialogue in Syria since the beginning, as the  Syrian leadership was ready since the first day for  this dialogue and to fulfil legitimate demands.

Khalisi said that what happened in Syria is  painful  and one neutral or indifferent towards it and every drop of blood spilled, every stone demolished , every homeless out of his house are all but  a major responsibility requires us to work to stop this dangerous and painful crisis.
Al- Khalisi  stressed that the Iraqi people stand with Syria because the Syrians  supported the Iraqis   when doors were shut  before them, and Syria received more than 1.5 million Iraqis. He also attributed  Iraq ‘s stand with Syria   for its position with the resistance in Palestine, Lebanon and Iraq its refusal to comply with the Zionist project.

He called for a meeting that brings together  Syrian scholars from inside and outside the country in order to search for a solution and develop road map to end the crisis and stop the bloodshed  , and expressed readiness in helping  to that”  “We are ready to help and we’ll come to Syria for that. “
