DU Honors 25 Students who Participated in ‘Aleppo Triumphs’ Exhibition

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Damascus University has honored 25 students from  Geography Department at the Faculty of Literature, who participated in ‘Aleppo triumphs’ exhibition held last May.

The honoring ceremony was held at Rida Saed Hall on Thursday where the Rector of Damascus University (DU) Mohammad Hassan al-Kurdi talked about the importance of the ‘Aleppo triumphs’ exhibition, which documented the ancient sites and buildings damaged by terrorist organizations in the old city of Aleppo and in other areas in the country.

 While the exhibition’s supervisor Hiba al-Awwad said that the students, who participated in the exhibition, wanted to share the happiness of achieving victory over terrorists in Aleppo city with Aleppo people.

The student made 35 maps about damaged ancient sites and building in Aleppo city and in other areas in the country. These maps were prepared during a 75-day workshop held in Geography Department with the participation of 25 students from the fourth year and post-graduate section.
