Minister Yazigi: Health Situation in Syria Stable

MINSK- Health Minister Nizar Yazigi affirmed that the Ministry is exerting all available efforts to maintain public health and provide medical, therapeutic and medicine services free of charge via public hospitals and Health centers despite of the challenges and circumstances resulted by the terrorist war on Syria, according to SANA.

“Health situation in Syria is still stable and there have been no epidemics registered over the past period,” the Minister said during a meeting with representatives of Syrian community in Belarus.

 He added that the unilateral economic measures, imposed by the US and EU, led to negative outcomes regarding the basic needs of the citizens, mainly medicine and food, saying “these measures contradict with the basic principles of the human rights.
