RT Arabic Reporter Martyred in ISIS Shelling in Syria’s Homs Eastern Countryside

 HOMS, (ST)-RT Arabic reporter Khaled Al khateb was martyred on Sunday in ISIS shelling on the eastern countryside of the Syrian province of Homs.

Al-Khateb, a 25 years old Syrian journalist,  was filming a report on the Syrian Arab Army’s operations against ISIS terrorists near al-Bhgheliyeh viallge when the terrorists targeted RT team with a rocket that killed the reporter and injured cameraman Muutaz Yaqoub, who was working with Khaled Alkhateb.

 On May 12, al-Alam TV reporter in Homs Saadallah Khalil and cameraman Soumar Salameh in addition to al-Manar TV cameraman Murhaf Mansour were also injured after being targeted by ISIS terrorists’ fire while covering the Syrian army’s operations against ISIS in al-Shumareya mounts area, about 60 km to the east of Homs city.

The Syrian TV cameraman Ali Suleiman was also martyred on March 15 in a terrorists shelling against the Syrian army which was chasing the terrorists of ISIS in Aleppo eastern countryside.

Years of the terrorist war on Syria has witnessed the martyrdom and wounding of several reporters and cameramen in terrorist attacks. Terrorist groups intend to target media teams to prevent them from covering events and conveying the truth about the terrorists’ crimes, takfiri practices and defeats.
