Holding Damascus International Fair Affirms Strength of Syrian State: Minister
DAMASCUS, (ST)- Interior Minister Mohammad al-Sha’ar has stressed that holding the 59th Damascus International Fair (DIF) under the patronage of President Bashar Al-Assad at the International Conferences and Fairs Ground in Damascus stresses the strength of the Syrian state and its victory over the takfiri terrorist project.
Al-Sha’ar made the remarks as he was inspecting the fair ground and the preparations and procedures to facilitate the arrival of participants and visitors to the fair and to enhance the security necessary for holding this event.
He reiterated that this very important economic event, which is due to be held on August 17-26, lays the foundation for recovery in Syria and forms a qualitative step in the Syrian economy. It also encourages international and local companies and institutions to take part in investment in Syria and benefit from the state of recovery and security as to help the Syrian economy restore the position it enjoyed before the terrorist war on Syria.
DIF a message to the world that Syria Started Economic Recovery
Meantime, Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Ahmad al-Qaderi has stressed that the ministry’s participation in the Damascus International Fair covers an area of 1700 square meters including 200 square meters dedicated to present rural women products.
In a statement to SANA, the minister said the fair will be an opportunity to introduce local products and open new horizons for exporting the surplus of these products. It is a huge economic manifestation that helps businessmen sign deals with producers, he added, stressing that the event sends a message to the entire world stressing that Syria has triumphed and started economic recovery era.
He pointed out that agricultural machines, veterinary, agricultural medicines, fertilizers, fodders, poultry and related equipments as well as other agricultural products are to be exhibited in the fair.
Syrian industrialists, traders happy for holding DIF after five-year stop
Damascus industrialists and traders expressed their happiness over holding the Damascus International fair after a five-year stop because of the terrorist war imposed on Syria. They are accelerating their preparations and arrangements to effectively take part in the event amid high competition to prepare the pavilions where their diverse products and industries are to be exhibited.
According to the Syrian industrialists and traders the fair provides a positive image about their strong determination to develop their work and production despite the hard circumstances they have experienced.
They pointed out that their participation aim at helping the Syrian-made products reach foreign markets and attract as big category of local consumers as possible.
