Army thwarts ISIS attacks on military points in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor – Army units, supported by the Syrian Air Force, thwarted attacks launched by ISIS terrorists on a number of military points on the southern axis of Deir Ezzor city, inflicting them heavy losses upon their ranks and equipment.

SANA said that army units engaged in heavy clashes with terrorist groups of ISIS that attacked a number of military points in al-Panorama, the area surrounding the 137 Brigade, Tal Barouk and the Driving School to the south of Deir Ezzor.

 SANA added that the clashes coincided with raids by the Syrian Air Force on movements, supply routes and fortifications of terrorists in al-Panorama, al-Rushdiyeh, al-Huweiqa, Huweijet Saqr, al-Matar al-Qadim, al-Mawared, al-Sinaa, al-Orfi, Ayash, al-Hamediyeh, al-Ardi and al-Maqaber (graveyards).

The Saudi terrorist Nizar al-Damami, who is a leader within ISIS, was killed due to army’s raids, along with many other terrorists.

The army airstrikes also destroyed equipment that were used by terrorists to refine oil stolen from wells located in Bukrus village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Local sources told SANA that ISIS terrorists executed two young men from the locals of Hawayej Bomasaa in the western countryside of the province.
