Russian Humanitarian Assistance Distributed to Displaced Families in Sweida

SWEIDA, (ST)- Within the framework of the humanitarian assistance provided by Russia to enhance the steadfastness of the Syrians in the face of terrorism and on Eid al-Fitr, some 500 food parcels, provided by the Russian people, were delivered to families, previously displaced by Takfiri terrorists and are now staying at the makeshift housing center in Rasas town in Sweida.

Governor of Sweida Amer Ibrahim al-Eshi said in a statement on Sunday that the Russian humanitarian aid expresses the Syrian-Russian deep friendship and stresses the support of the Russian Federation for the Syrian people’s steadfastness in the face of terrorism forces and the war imposed on Syria.

On his part, representative of the Russian Coordination and Reconciliation Center in the southern region (Ahmad Wallin) told journalists that the Russian aid is some kind of solidarity with the Syrian people and it came to express the strong ties between the two countries, hoping that peace will be restored to Syria soon.
