Continued Fight against Terrorism

The terrorists attacks that targeted Tehran a few days ago would not be the last as long as Saudi Arabia and other Arab and regional countries are offering financial and military support to terrorist and takfiri groups such as ISIS and al-Nosra Front with the aim of achieving political objectives that serve the Zionist project in the region. Syria, Iran and the resistance are the targets of such terrorist attacks, because they categorically reject the American and Zionist hegemony in the region. The heroic steadfastness of the axis of the resistance and the great achievements realized in the field of combatting terrorists are behind the escalation of takfiri terror attacks in Syria and Iran.

At least 16 people were killed and more than 40 were injured in twin terrorist attacks targeted the headquarters of the Iranian Shura Council and the shrine of late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the capital Tehran. The attacks were carried out by ISIS terrorists who receive financial and military support from Saudi Arabia.

Such terrorist attacks, which are backed by well-known countries and circles, will not discourage Syria and Iran from continuing their fight against terrorism that is supported by countries and parties known in the region and beyond. These countries claim to be combatting terrorism, while on the ground they are offering military and financial support to takfiri terrorists in various parts of the world. The crux of the problem of terrorism is halting the support offered by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries to these terrorist groups. The UN Security Council should shoulder its responsibilities and eliminate the double standard policy regarding this issue.

The countries standing behind such acts should be aware of the repercussions of continuing to fund and arm the terrorist organizations and spread extremism and Takfiri thought, which would reflect on the security and stability of the countries of the region and the world. This was crystal clear through the terrorist attacks that targeted several European capitals including London, Paris and Brussels during the past two years.

The cowardly terrorist attacks were plotted and implemented by one terrorist system in the world supported by well-known international and regional actors. The efforts of all countries of the world should be unified to combat terrorism.

Syria and Iran are in the same trench of confronting the Takfiri terrorist organizations with the aim of achieving victory.

The Iranian nation is moving forward. These attacks will have no impact on the people’s resolve. They are too weak to affect the will of the nation. Had Iran not stood against the hotspot of terrorism in the region, the US and its allies would not have planned such terrorist attacks.

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are responsible for such terrorist attacks that took place in Syria, Iran and other parts of the world, because they have been providing terrorist groups with arms and funds to terrorist groups to carry out atrocious crimes against innocent people and infrastructure in different parts of the world. This terrorist attack happened only a week after the meeting between the US president and the backward Saudi leaders who support terrorists. The fact that Islamic State has claimed responsibility proves that they were involved in the brutal attack.
