People of Drousha, Khan al-Sheih and al-Darkhabieh Return to their Homes after Army Restored Security to Their Areas

DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- The locals of the Damascus Countryside’s towns of Drousha, Khan al-Sheih and al-Darkhabieh, who were displaced from their areas because of terrorism, returned to their houses on Monday after the Syrian Arab army had liberated these areas from terrorists and restored security and stabilities there.

A popular celebration, attended by official and public figures, was held on this occasion.

During the celebration, which was held in Drousha, Secretary of the Damascus Countryside’s  Baath Arab Socialist Party Branch Humam Haidar said in a speech that the areas have become free of terrorism thanks to the sacrifices of the Syrian Arab army and to the people of the towns who supported the army in its bid to restore security and stability to Syria.

He pointed out that a team representing all services institutions will start working to rehabilitate the infrastructure, including the water, electricity, sewage and communications networks in these towns.

On his part, Damascus Countryside Governor Alaa Ibrahim  said in a statement to journalists that the governorate’s maintenance workshops have started the rehabilitation of the infrastructure in Drousha, adding that several services were restored to al-Darkhabieh town and that work will continue as to fix the damage caused to the infrastructure in other areas.
