Document Reveals Qatar Involved in Preparing, Sending 1800 Terrorists from Libya to Iraq

 BAGHDAD, (ST)-A document issued by the Embassy of Qatar in the Libyan Capital Tripoli has unveiled that Doha prepared and sent 1800 terrorists from all countries of Arab Maghreb and North Africa as to join the ranks of the terrorist organizations in Iraq.

The Iraqi “al-Sumaria News” website said today that spokesman of the Libyan National Army Command Ahmad al-Mismari explained in a TV statement this week that the security bodies of the Libyan army managed to obtain the document which is an evidence proving the involvement of Qatar in Supporting terrorist organizations.

 Last month, the Libyan National Army Commander Khalifa Haftar affirmed that Qatar has been supporting terrorism and providing training to armed groups in Libya.

According to the Qatari document, the Qatari embassy will supervise the transferring of the 1800 terrorists after they have finished training in the Libyan cities of Zantan, Benghazi, al-Zaweya and Misrata. The terrorists were due to leave Libya in three batches through the Libyan ports to Turkey from where they can enter Iraq, the document said.

In the same context, Libyan security sources uncovered that Abdul hakim Belhaj, a leader of a terrorist organization in Libya, has managed to deliver three thousand terrorists between Syria and Libya since 2015 across the Turkish borders.

The sources said that Belhaj, who has close relation with Qatar, opened a private airlines company named the “Libya Wings” for this purpose. The company started its flights to Turkey’s Istanbul in September 2015 with three flights per week.

Qatar and Turkey as well as some other regimes have been keen on supporting terrorist organizations in several countries, particularly in Syria and Iraq. They contributed to financing, arming and training terrorists and provided logistic, military and media support for the terror organizations.
