President Al-Assad Visits “Made in Syria” Shopping Festival, Urges More Offers to Support Citizens

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad on Thursday visited the “Made in Syria ” Shopping Festival  at al-Jalaa sports complex in Mezzeh area in Damascus, according to the Syrian Presidency facebook page.

Some 180 industrial and commercial national companies are taking part in the event which is being held on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan by the Damascus and Damascus Countryside Chamber of Industry and Damascus Chamber of Commerce.

The president toured the stands of the festival which contained 100% Syrian-made products despite seven years of heinous war on Syria.

President Al-Assad urged national companies to provide more offers as to support citizens and help market the Syrian products.

He hailed the national companies which have kept steadfast over years of war against the country and some of which have managed to produce goods with better quality than in the past despite the siege imposed on Syria and the damage caused to these companies over the past period.

Over the past three years, the festival succeeded in promoting national Syrian companies and directly providing the Syrian citizens with their products, thereby defying the unjust blockade and the terrorist war imposed on the homeland, the Presidency page said.
