SSNP Asserts Homs City Returns to Normal Life

The Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) has held an activity in Homs city to assert that the city has returned to normal life after announcing it free of arms and gunmen.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), chairman of the party’s politburo Safwan Salman talked during the activity, held Saturday, about adherence to national decision and the enhancement of national unity to confront the terror war being waged on Syria.

 “Homs city was an example of successful reconciliation process that was carried out under the patronage of the state,” he added.

Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi also gave a speech in the activity during which he called for focusing on cultural and educational issues in order to make the next generation able to confront conspiracies and plot that aim to fragment Syria.

“Syria will go ahead with fighting terrorism, building the next generation, preserving national unity and reaching successfullocal reconciliation deals,” he said.

Head of the Party’s Homs branch Nihad Sam’an underscored the need to enhance social communication among all social spectrum.

Following the speeches, a documentary film entitled ‘I am Syrian’ was screened to show the noble humanitarian civilization of Syrians.

On May 21st, 2017, Homs city was declared safe after the final batch of gunmen and some of their families’ members, who rejected reconciliation, left al-Waer neighborhood in accordance with reconciliation deal reached last March.
