One person martyred, 22 others injured in terrorist rocket attacks

Daraa – In a new violation of the Russian memorandum on de-escalation zones in Syria, the armed groups targeted the residential neighborhoods in Daraa city with rocket shells.

Rockets fired by armed groups hit the highly populated al-Sabil neighborhood, leaving a 7-year-old child seriously injured and causing material damage to houses and infrastructure in the neighborhood, SANA reported.

 Another shell smashed into a house in al-Matar neighborhood, leaving one person dead, while 15 other people were injured, including a child and several women, when other shells hit the grocery market and the surroundings of a center for people with disabilities in al-Kashif neighborhood.

Meanwhile, a source at Daraa Firefighting Center said that firefighters are working on quenching 5 fires in Daraa city that were caused by the shelling.

Earlier, the armed groups fired Saturday morning rocket shells on the neighborhoods of al-Sahari and Shamal al-Khat and the surroundings of the governmental complex, causing casualties among civilians and material damage to houses and public and private properties.
