Al-Halqi: the government to tackle issues of kidnapped, arrested and armed people

Chaired by Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi, the Ministerial Committee tasked with following up the  implementation of  the political program to solve the crisis in Syria held a meeting on Monday with members of the executive bureaus of the Arab Writers Union and the Syrian Publishers Union.

Al-Halqi highlighted the key role played by intellectuals and thinkers in spreading culture to boost the position of Arab nationalist thought, to confront the misguiding cultural and media invasion and to grow up generations able to confront the challenges and risk that threatens the Arab nation’s future.

He pointed out that Syria will remain that strong and immune country which is able to restore security and stability to the country and to defeat US.-Zionist plans in the region thanks to the unity of its people and brave army.

Al-Halqi referred to the judicial and security measures and guarantees given to every person wants to go back to his homeland and to participate in the national dialogue, welcoming the return of dozens of the displaced families from Lebanon.  Al-Halqi asserted that the government is working to tackle the issue of the arrested, kidnapped and armed people.

Members of the executive bureaus expressed their support to the political program to solve the crisis in Syria, referring to the efforts of the ministerial committee to restore communication and national unity among the Syrian people.

The members presented their visions about solving the crisis which centered on the necessity of fighting opportunists and crisis dealers, intensifying communication among Syrian people inside and outside the country, repairing the infrastructure and ensuring the citizens’ daily life needs . 

In a press  statement after the meeting, Head of the Arab Writers Union, Hussein Joumaa said that the meeting focused on the shape of likely dialogue and crystallizing  the concepts of citizenship, freedom, democracy and sovereignty of law . The meeting also centered on the way of dealing with the opposition and to dialogue with Syrian expatriates to reach the halt of violence. 

He pointed out that targeting Syria is aimed at toppling the state and  destroying its constituents, affirming that sabotaging the infrastructure serves interests of the Zionist enemy.
