Army eliminates ISIS terrorists, destroys their gatherings and fortifications in several areas

Provinces – Army units destroyed gatherings and fortifications of ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor city and the surrounding area.

An army unit on Sunday carried out a special operation against ISIS terrorists, destroying one of their barricades,  killing a number of terrorists and injuring others on the southern outskirts of the city, SANA reported.

 

SANA added that the army artillery carried out intensive bombardments against hotbeds and positions of ISIS terrorists in the area of al-Maqaber “cemeteries”, al-Maqabat, Ma’amel al-Blouk , the surroundings of the airport, to the west of Talet al-Snouf and in the neighborhoods of al-Omal and al-Matar al-Qadim.

A number of terrorists were killed and injured in the bombardments in addition to destroying their fortifications and ammunition.

Homs

Army units targeted ISIS terrorists’ gatherings and movement axes in al-Mshairfeh al-Janoubiyeh, al-Talila reserve and on the direction of Arak in the eastern countryside of Homs.

A military source said that the army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorist organization, killing a number of its members and destroying their heavy machinegun-equipped vehicles.

Hama

An army unit targeted ISIS terrorist groups’ movement axes in the villages of Qulaib al-Thaor and Abu Hanaya, east of Salamiyeh city in the eastern countryside of Hama.

A military source said that the army unit eliminated a number of ISIS terrorists, injured others and destroyed their equipment.
