Iranian MP: EU Meeting on Syria Lacks Legitimacy

Member of the Iranian Parliament Seyed Ramazan Shojaei Kiasari said that European Union’s ongoing meeting on Syria lacks the needed legitimacy due to the fact that the Syrian people and government are not represented in the event,according to FNA.

“Western governments, including major EU members, are main supporters of terrorism in Syria and the main reason behind displacement of millions of people in the country,” Shojaei Kiasari told the parliament’s news agency on Monday.

“Now, they have come together in Brussels to find a solution on how to shelter the displaced people,” he added.

“This is a clear manifestation of EU’s double standards policy when it comes to the developments in Syria,” he pointed out.
