Army kills over 20 ISIS terrorists in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor – Army and Armed Forces units, backed by the Syrian Air Force, destroyed on Wednesday vehicles for ISIS terrorists including a tank rigged with explosives in Deir Ezzor city and its surroundings.

The Air Force carried out night raids against ISIS terrorists’ movements and sites in al-Thurda, al-Maqaber (graveyards), and the factories and dumps areas, and in the neighborhoods of al-Khasarat, al-Kanamat, al-Ardi, and al-Sheikh Yasen in the city and in al-Jafraa village, destroying a number of vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns and killing and injuring a number of ISIS terrorists, SANA reported.

 

SANA added that army units backed by the Air Force engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorist groups which attacked military points in the surroundings of Deir Ezzor Airport and Liwa al-Tamin.

SANA noted that the clashed ended with thwarting the attack after destroying two vehicles equipped with two heavy machineguns, a BMP vehicle, and a tank rigged with large amounts of explosives before it reached its target , in addition to killing over 20 terrorists and injuring others.
