More Families Return to al-Waer Following Ill Treatment in Aleppo’s Jarablus Camps

HOMS, (ST)- Nine families of 37 members, who had recently left Homs’ al-Waer Neighborhood to the city of Jarablus in Aleppo countryside within the framework of the reconciliation agreement reached in the district, retuned yesterday to Homs after suffering deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions in the camps set in Jarablus.

SANA correspondent in Homs, said that members of the families stressed that they decided to return after the inhuman treatment they received in Jarablus city.

 Homs Governor Talal Barazi said in a statement to SANA that the returned families have made contacts with concerned parties stressing their willingness to come back to al-Waer neighborhood. He pointed out that the trip back to al-Waer of the people, who left the district in past batches, has started, noting the return of two batches of people from Jarablus and Idleb in addition to the current batch.

The governor went on to say that more batches of residents will come back in the coming weeks in view of the facilitations provided by Homs Governorate for all the families that wish to return.

According to al-Barazi, the children coming back to the neighborhood will directly join their schools; particularly that al-Waer will restore security and stability within weeks and once the last batch of gunmen leave the district.
