Al-Attar to Tunisian Delegation: Syria Plays Key Role in Enhancing Culture of Resistance

 Vice-President Dr. Najah al-Attar has underscored that Syria plays pivotal role in enhancing culture of resistance and national unity.

Attar’s remark came during her meeting on Thursday with a Tunisian delegation representing Ez-Zitouna University.

“Syria has faced all forms of conspiracies and it has triumphed in the era of President Hafez Al-Assad and it will triumph now under the leadership of President Bashar Al-Assad,” Dr. al-Attar said, pointing out that intellectuals have an important role in confronting forces of evil, especially Zionist movement that target the Arab nation.

She called for unifying efforts to support the Palestinian cause, referring to the fact that Ez-Zitouna University has played a key role in disseminating enlightenment thought.

 The Tunisian delegation is visiting Syria to express solidarity with the Syrian people in the confrontation of the global conspiracy hatched against them. It held talks with deans of colleges in Damascus university and members and head of Arab Writers Union’s Executive Bureau.

The talks zeroed in on building thought and youth capacity and writers’ role in confronting the terror war being waged on Syria, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency quoted members of the Tunisian delegation as saying that Tunisia stands by national causes, mainly the Palestinian cause, and it supports Syria in its war against terrorism.

The delegation hailed the Syrian Arab army’s role in fighting Takfiris and terrorist organizations.
